post post post

just so I don't feel like a slacker, here is a post.

Someone is playing cello nearby. A couple days ago I heard sex noises. Same apartment?

We moved, our new place is still an old building but way nicer. Our neighbors are not suspected felons or alcoholics (as far as I know).

Work has been going along swimmingly until the last couple weeks where some awkward inter-departmental rivalry has been going on. It continues, and for once I'm not excited to go to work tomorrow. Here's hoping it gets resolved soon, for this is the best job I've ever had and I'd like to stay that way.

My diet has been on the fritz since hot hot summer started and now that it's getting cold I've started dieting and exercising again. Cue disappointing and disheartening results.

My hard drive has stopped responding despite my best repair efforts (turning it off and back on, opening it up, putting it in the freezer, buying a new power cord). Cue heart-breaking amount of money spent on data recovery.

Took my car to get an oil change after a year of neglect. Right after dropping it off Chris and I went to look for a car wash for his car. On the way Chris screamed and stopped the car in traffic because a spider crawled on him. After I got done laughing I looked for and eventually found the largest spider I've ever seen in person. After a fruitless search I got a call from Midas saying my axle was about to bust, my coolant looked fishy, and my engine was so dirty putting in new oil wouldn't do a thing, it needed to get flushed. A depressingly huge bill later, I called my dad only to get a "if I had money I would give it to you, kid" and a $150 check in the mail. Better than nothing. Hey, my car doesn't click when I turn now! I just walked by my car just now to see the window has been halfway rolled down for a full week. Thanks for not robbing me, passerby!

Chris and I don't do drugs, but occasionally we have day-long junk food benders. Today involved japanese gummie candy, some candy we found at a vietnamese grocery store called "Pillows," strange chinese garlic corn nuts, mrs.fields cookies, and a sampler of different spicy chips (Flamas are the best but Chesters Popcorn was in a close second). God I love spicy chips.
