don't meet me in st louie

in light of recent allegations by the City of St Louis that I totally blew through a red light (I could have sworn it was green) I am loathe to tell you how much I enjoyed myself.

Chris and I went a couple weekends ago and while he was busy at the Midwest Sociological Society annual conference most of the time, I still got to see A TON of pretty buildings (unfortunately quite a few of them sad and empty) and have A TON OF FUN. We had delicious sichuan food, delicious frozen custard, delicious fake chicago-style deep dish pizza, AND THE COOLEST MUSEUM EVER! It's like a cross between Discovery Zone, Goonies, an abandoned carnival, and Gilbert House Children's Museum only less educational.

CITY MUSEUM!!

Okay, it's barely a museum but, man, words nor pictures cannot express the time, creativity and fun packed into this place. So So much fun. I would go back to St Louis JUST to go to the City Museum again. amazing. Due to the crawly-tunnely-active nature of this place, it would have been impractical to take my camera. So I don't have any pictures that I myself took. Go look for "st louis city museum" on flickr. The St Louis Zoo was pretty amazing as well. Ranks very highly on my "American Zoos Libby Has Visited List."

Here is Chris, when we went to Jackson Park, the former site of the 1893 World's Fair today, this The First Warm Day Of The Year. There were so many people out and about, I think the heat made us all crazy.

It wasn't streaky enough! Too salt n peppery. I dyed them all away right after we got back from this trip because I felt like a freak of nature, 25 year olds shouldn't have so much grey hair.
